DineAid is a charitable initiative undertaken by the New Zealand restaurant community to give a helping hand to New Zealanders in need.
Each year during November and December we raise money through participating restaurants across New Zealand by adding a voluntary donation of just $2 per table to your restaurant bill and paid by the bill payer.
Thanks to participating restaurants and our sponsors, 100% of all the money raised is redistributed within New Zealand to help selected charities – this year The City Mission – Food Banks in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Since DineAid was launched pre Christmas 2008 we have raised and distributed $243,960 to a number of charities.
DineAid is part of a charitable initiative started over ten years ago by a small group of caring London restaurateurs, that now operates under the name StreetSmart throughout the UK, the USA, South Africa and Australia.
